Sarah studied at the University of Sydney, first completing a Bachelor of Health Science and Human movement and following up with a Masters of Physiotherapy. Since then she has worked in both the Public and Private sector, generating a following for her evidence based approach to injury management and her passion for ensuring that her patients understand exactly what is going on for them and what their treatment options are.
If you are experiencing neck, shoulder, upper back or rib cage pain or you have suffered an injury to this area – Sarah is the person to see. Sarah uses a combination of hands on/manual therapy, dry needling, exercise, postural re-education and ergonomic restructuring to ensure that her patients get amazing results.
Many of Sarah’s patients come to see her specifically for her expertise in Dry Needling due to the fantastic way they feel afterward – particularly for treatment of chronic neck/shoulder/back pain, amongst other conditions.
Sarah also has a particular special interest in assessment and management of scoliosis – she believes that the early identification and intervention in patients with scoliosis is so integral in minimising the long term negative effects of it and can make such a huge impact on a person’s life.
Having worked in the Royal North Shore Hospital Fracture Clinic and Hand Trauma unit has given Sarah special insight into the management of upper limb injuries including, but not limited to, arm/wrist fractures, carpal tunnel syndrome and elbow injuries. In addition to this, Sarah also worked in Respiratory wards, so has experience lung conditions including pneumonia, which require chest physiotherapy.
Sarah has been integral in developing and implementing the hydrotherapy program at Aushealth Physiotherapy – with a particular focus on progressive and structured programs for the treatment of arthritic pain or post operative rehabilitation. This program is popular with patients from all over the Northern Beaches (and often further) due to the results they get with it.
Outside of work you may see Sarah doing Stand Up Paddle boarding, playing Touch Football, or having coffee in Manly.
